WZ Beauty Studio serves brides in the Dallas Fort Worth area and we love to travel for destination weddings! How far out do I book my wedding day hair and makeup services?

Brides typically book services with WZ Beauty 9-12 months in advance, however, we may have availability between 3-6 months. Your date is secured once a signed agreement and a non-refundable retainer is received.

Is my trial run free?

The trial run is pre-packaged with our bridal services and we highly recommend you take advantage of the trial session!

When should I schedule my trial run?

Trials can be scheduled before booking or once your date is secured. We recommend waiting until 1-2 months before your wedding day so you can perfectly plan the details of your dress and jewelry. You can also use your trial run for an engagement session, bridal portraits, bridal fitting, or a bridal shower. Each trial run takes place in our studio and takes 1.5-2 hours.

What’s the difference between traditional and airbrush foundations?

We use MAC, Makeup For Ever, and our exclusive WZ Beauty cosmetic line. The traditional foundation is a water-based product and provides a more natural finish. We recommend it for my brides/clients with dry skin looking for a healthy glow. It’s a waterproof foundation, set with powder and the final set is finishing spray to seal in the makeup. The airbrush foundation is silicone-based which provides a matte finish. This is for brides with oily to combination skin and we highly recommend it to summer brides since it requires very little to no touch-ups in those hot summer months. It’s also waterproof and once it is sprayed on, no setting products are needed. It is also a HD foundation which means it photographs flawlessly and photographers love it too.

Do you only offer HAMU for weddings?

We specialize in bridal, but we are also available to glam you for any special event and make you feel and look your best. Boudoir, maternity, family portraits, headshots, we do it all!

SPECIAL OCCASIONS

Whether it’s your 10th anniversary, your senior prom, a charity gala, or anything in between, WZ Beauty would love to glam you up! We provide hair and makeup services at our studio located in quaint downtown McKinney, but we’re also happy to travel to your location and provide beauty services onsite.

The WZ Beauty team did an amazing job on my hair/makeup as well as all my bridesmaids, my mom, and the groom's mom! We did the trial run for my bridal portraits and Wendy gave skincare and prep tips as well as recommending an esthetician that I worked with for 3-4 months leading up to the wedding. As someone who has always struggled with acne, I really wanted clear skin for my wedding and now 4 months after the wedding, I still have the clearest skin I've had in over a decade! On wedding day, the WZ Beauty team were so much fun to have in the bridal suite and added to the good vibes! My face did not budge an inch and everyones hair held through multiple hours of dancing! We all felt so beautiful, confident, and love the pictures we have to look back on.

Wendy and Alyssa did a fantastic job with hair and makeup for my recent wedding. Wendy was incredibly responsive from the start and showed up early for the day of the wedding which was greatly appreciated! She even looked at some of my photographer's work and made suggestions based on the style of their photos. My trial run and day of makeup looked amazing and my hair stayed in place all day. Wendy is truly the best at what she does, and her personality made getting ready for my wedding day so calm and so fun!!
